The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) is urging Filipino travelers and travel agencies to uphold truthful and responsible travel, as the misuse of tourist visas could lead to stricter visa requirements and increased immigration scrutiny for legitimate travelers.

“Every misuse of tourist visas have consequences not only for the individuals involved, but also for all our fellow Filipino travelers, which results in stricter visa requirements and increased immigration scrutiny,” PTAA said.

With designated travel agencies handling visa applications set to begin temporary suspensions, how can responsible travel and greater accountability help protect the opportunities of Filipinos to travel abroad?
