The Department of Tourism is having an ongoing collaboration with the Airlines as well as various agencies and partners to add more flight routes flying to / from the Bicol International Airport (BIA) going to other hot spot local and international tourist destinations.

Currently the DOT requested some direct two-way flights from the BIA to popular destinations like Palawan, Siargao & Davao which are highly visited by local and international tourists.

Currently, the BIA offers direct flights to Cebu and Iloilo aside from Manila which commenced last 2024.

These improvements in BIA will include the installation of passport scanners and fully transferring government offices, such as the Bureau of Customs and Bureau of Immigration, to expedite operations for international and additional local flights.

This modernization and upgrade at BIA will prove that more tourists will be coming over to Albay and witness the beautiful Mayon Volcano and other local tourist spots in the region.
