CLOSURE NOTICE TO FURTHER ASSESS AND CLEAR BADIAN CANYONEERING AREA

The Municipal Government of Badian, hereby announces the temporary closure of the Badian Canyoneering Area effective October 26, 2025, to allow further site assessment and clearing operations.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) has conducted assessment and site clearing to ensure the safety of all canyoneering routes. However, further inspection and clearing activities are still required to guarantee that the area is completely safe for both tourists and tourism workers.

Please be informed that Kawasan Falls remains open to the public and continues to welcome visitors. Only the canyoneering activity is temporarily suspended until all necessary safety procedures, clearing operations, and validations are completed.

We ask for the understanding and cooperation of all guides, operators, and visitors as we continue to uphold safety, sustainability, and responsible tourism practices in Badian.
