BAGUIO CITY — A simple Facebook inquiry turned into a viral moment after a netizen messaged the BJMP Baguio City Jail Female Dormitory asking, "Hello, may available units pa po?" ("Hello, are there still available units?").

Following the viral exchange, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology reminded the public that its jail facilities are not hotels. It emphasized, however, that it continues to maintain safe, secure, and sanitary facilities to ensure the proper and humane care of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), in accordance with the mandate of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
