Founded in 2010 by Ms. Czarina Ongkingco-Arao, a licensed pharmacist and DOH-accredited massage therapist, and Mr. Juan Carlo Arao, MBA, an advocate of entrepreneurship, YU-AN SPA was born out of a shared purpose:

To create a sanctuary where the people of Bataan could disconnect from stress and reconnect with their bodies, minds, and spirits.

Blending Czarina’s medical background with Carlo’s entrepreneurial drive, the couple established a spa brand built on professionalism, compassionate care, and continuous learning. All YU-AN therapists are trained according to Department of Health (DOH) standards and TESDA National Certification protocols to ensure consistent, safe, and effective service.

𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬:

• 2010- YU-AN SPA opens its first branch in Balanga, Bataan. It offers Traditional Thai and Swedish massage therapies rooted in Eastern techniques and healthcare disciplines.

• 2013- A second branch opens beside The Beanery Coffee Shop through a sublease agreement. The location is known as YU-AN Garden Spa, expanding its reach to new customers.

• 2014- The two branches have been merged into a larger unified space in Capitol Drive, Balanga City, enhancing the spa environment and enabling the team to deliver a more seamless guest experience.

• 2017- YU-AN SPA has become the largest spa lounge and wellness center in Bataan.

This year also marked a pivotal shift as the spa expanded into aesthetic services. Its leadership team underwent intensive training under the International Academy for Aesthetic Sciences, reinforcing the spa’s commitment to global standards in beauty and wellness.

• 2023- YU-AN SPA opens its first Metro Manila branch, bringing its signature wellness experience and DOH-compliant standards to a broader urban clientele.
