𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 – 𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗠 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗖𝗦 (𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗠 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦, 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗪𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗡 𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬) 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚

The Provincial Tourism Office, in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT), successfully conducted the virtual Gender and Development – TourISM WoRCS (Tourism Integrates, Supports and Minds Women Rights and Child Safety) Training on June 16, 2026, for selected tourism stakeholders in Bataan.

The session opened with a welcome message from Acting Provincial Tourism Officer Ms. Danica Lo**ta C. Tigas, Ph.D., and was led by Child Rights Advocate and Resource Speaker Mr. Edward Fernandito S. Tiongco, with the assistance of Mr. Erwin Joshua Salta of the DOT.

The comprehensive discussion enlightened forty-five (45) representatives from DOT-accredited primary tourism establishments on the critical role of the tourism sector and local government units in protecting and promoting the rights of women and children. Topics discussed also included national policies and various international initiatives aimed at combating child abuse and violence, while promoting inclusiveness and child-safe tourism.

The Provincial Tourism Office in collaboration with the Department of Tourism (DOT) will be having an online session regarding Seminar on Gender and Development Training: TourISM WoRCS (Tourism Integrates, Supports, and Minds Women's Rights and Child Safety), a DOT collaborated initiative to advance Bataan Tourism Stakeholders about the basic laws and rights of women and children ensuring the promotion of safe and inclusive environment to primary tourism establishments in the province.
