As part of the final preparations for the launch of the ๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ง๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ, the Office of the Municipal Tourism and Cultural Affairs conducted another Dry Run Tour at the Tawang Liyang Sanctuary Village on July 14, 2026.
The activity was attended by all active members of the Magangab Cave Tour Guides Association, with the goal of ensuring that they are fully prepared to deliver a safe, informative, and memorable tourism experience. The dry run focused on refining the tour itinerary, enhancing guide commentaries, strengthening communication skills, and reinforcing that the safety and security of every visitor remain the highest priority.
The activity was led by Tourism Officer Regine Faye D. Munda Cruz together with the personnel of the ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ค๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก ๐๐ค๐ช๐ง๐๐จ๐ข ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐พ๐ช๐ก๐ฉ๐ช๐ง๐๐ก ๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐จ. Also present were representatives from the ๐ฝ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ค๐๐๐ก ๐๐ค๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฃ๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฉ ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ฃ๐, represented by Hon. Victory Ray Libnao and Mr. Iden Biddong, as well as the ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐๐ค๐ก๐๐๐โ๐ฝ๐๐ก๐๐๐ก๐๐ฃ through PSSg Stewart A. Gamongan and PCpl Edgar B. Pacad, who shared valuable insights and recommendations to further improve the quality of tour guiding services and ensure visitor safety.
The activity also served as a field review of the entire tour experience, with all participants following the actual tour itinerary and visiting each interpretation point. Along the way, the guides delivered their tour commentaries while the Tourism Officers provided constructive feedback to ensure the information was accurate, engaging, and culturally appropriate, while further enhancing the guides' confidence and professionalism.
To further strengthen emergency preparedness, the dry run included a simulation on the application of ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฑ during emergencies inside the cave. Community guides practised appropriate response procedures, emphasizing the importance of remaining calm, coordinating effectively, and prioritizing the welfare of guests in emergency situations.
The successful conduct of this activity reflects the commitment of the Municipality of Balbalan, Kalinga and the community of Tawang to provide a high-quality, well-managed, and sustainable tourism experience. With continuous capacity-building and strong collaboration among stakeholders, the Tawang Discovery Day Tour Package is set to offer visitors an authentic journey that showcases the natural beauty, culture, and hospitality of the people of Tawang.
