BATAD (Banaue) Travel Guide: 2D1N Budget & Sample Itinerary
📍Things to do:
✅Tappiya Falls – about an hour hike. Trekking to the falls is the most popular activity in the place. It is just an easy trek suitable for beginners or even first-timers.
✅Awa View Deck, it offers a birds-eye view of Batad once you reach the summit. It’s an almost two (2) hour trek to get there.
✅Sidetrip to Banaue Rice Terraces Viewpoint, though not declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it’s definitely worth a visit.
âś…Food Trip, taste the Pinikpikan and other local delicacies.
âś…Rice Wine, try the locally made rice wine.
âś…Buy local products/souvenirs.
âś…Relax/enjoy the place!
📍Best time to visit:
Best time to see Batad Rice Terraces at their greenest color is between April to November.
📍Where to stay:
It’s highly recommended to try and stay at native Ifugao hut.
📍How to get there:
Banaue is the jumping off point going to the village of Batad. From Banaue, charter a tricycle or a van whichever suits you, price may vary depending on the driver. You can also catch a public jeep that goes to Batad at 3pm everyday. Standard fare is Php150/head. Travel time is approximately one (1) hour until the drop-off point . From the drop-off point, you need to walk 15 to 20 minutes to reach the village of Batad.
Manila to Banaue- Take the Ohayami Trans Bus which will leave Manila at 10pm and will arrive in Banaue at 8am the next day.
