The Provincial Government of Abra announces the lifting of the suspension of tourism activities across the province, effective tomorrow, August 7, 2026.

Tourism activities may resume, subject to prevailing weather and site conditions.

Everyone is still urged to exercise caution and prioritize safety, especially in areas affected by recent rains.

𝗖𝗔𝗥 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗠𝗔𝗬

Key Updates:
✅ Most of the Cordillera is now free from Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals.

📍 MAYMAY has moved over the Philippine Sea, east-northeast of Echague, Isabela.

🌬️ The system continues to weaken while moving away from Northern Luzon.

⚠️ TCWS No. 1 remains only over the following areas:

* 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖: Tabuk City, Pinukpuk, Tanudan, Lubuagan & Rizal
* 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙈𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚: Paracelis, Natonin, Barlig
* 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙄𝙛𝙪𝙜𝙖𝙤: Lagawe, Aguinaldo, Asipulo, Hingyon, Kiangan, Lamut, Alfonso Lista, Mayoyao, Banaue

📌 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀:
• Maximum sustained winds remain at 45 km/h, with gusts of up to 70 km/h.
• MAYMAY is expected to weaken into a Remnant Low tonight or early tomorrow.

⚠️ Although conditions are improving, occasional rains, localized flooding, and landslides remain possible due to the combined effects of MAYMAY and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), particularly over the eastern Cordillera.

🛑 Residents, tourism stakeholders, and travelers are advised to continue monitoring official PAGASA bulletins and follow LGU advisories until all wind signals are lifted.
