📸 Happy World Photography Day! 📸

Every day, the streets of our local communities are kept alive by the hard work and resilience of our vendors. Today, it’s time to put them in focus. 🌇

In celebration of World Photography Day, LTHub invites all MMSU students to join Hidden Heroes: Through the Lens! This is your chance to capture the stories of our street vendors, showcase your talent, and win cash prizes!

👇 FULL GUIDELINES & MECHANICS:👇

1. Eligibility: Open to all currently enrolled MMSU students.

2. The Subject: Submit one (1) original photograph featuring local street vendors and their daily lives, work, or resilience.

3. Location: The photograph must be taken within your respective local area or municipality.

4. Theme: Entries must follow the theme “Hidden Heroes: Through the Lens”

5. File Naming: Before uploading, rename your photo file using this format:
👉 `CompleteName_Course_YearLevel` (Example: JuanDelaCruz_BSBA_2)

6. How to Submit: Upload your renamed entry to our official submission link here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1KRTsgKz3G3fSW6WytGJ5UxFZjk0ZANV7

7. Confirmation: Once you have uploaded your photo, comment "Photo Submitted!" on this post!

8. Deadline: All entries must be submitted between August 19–21, 2026. The strict cut-off is on August 21, 2026, at 8:00 PM.

Some things cannot be measured by their age, their price, or by how many people know their name.

Some things are carried quietly, from the hands of our ancestors to the hands of those who come after us.

A language. A story. A song. A tradition.

A way of life that endured because someone chose not to forget.

This International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, we honor the Indigenous Peoples whose cultures continue to live beyond the pages of history. Their traditions are not relics of the past. They are living identities, shaped by generations of knowledge, resilience, connection, and pride.

To honor Indigenous culture is more than simply appreciating what we see. It means learning without taking, respecting without appropriating, and listening without speaking over the voices of the communities to whom these cultures belong.

Because what our ancestors entrusted to us is not ours to erase.

It is ours to remember.
Ours to respect.
Ours to carry forward.

May this International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples remind us that heritage is not merely what we inherit, but what we choose to protect, honor, and pass on to those who will come after us.

May we continue to listen to the stories of our roots, honor the people who carry them, and help keep their culture alive for generations to come.
