Cebu Pacific to mount charter flight for OFW repatriation in Kuwait

Cebu Pacific (CEB) is mounting a special charter flight from Kuwait to Manila FOR FREE. This is in response to the call for assistance by the government to repatriate Filipino workers in Kuwait.

Special arrangements are being made since Cebu Pacific no longer has regular commercial air service between Manila and Kuwait.

Cebu Pacific is working with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait on the final travel arrangements.

CEB will be deploying an Airbus A330 aircraft—the largest in its fleet, for the charter flight. It has a maximum capacity of 436 passengers. Cebu Pacific will also provide free food and refreshment, as well as baggage allowance for all passengers on this charter flight.

CEB TRAVEL ADVISORY - ASEAN SUMMIT

Security has been heightened across Metro Manila, Central and Southern Luzon in light of the 31st ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings from November 13-15, 2017.

Cebu Pacific (CEB) and Cebgo reminds all passengers travelling from November 8 to 15, 2017, particularly to and from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to plan their routes to get to the airport, in anticipation of heavy traffic due to road closures.

CEB and Cebgo Domestic Check-in counters are open three (3) hours before the scheduled time of departure, and four (4) hours for International flights. All check-in counters close 45 minutes before the scheduled time of flights, except those exiting the Middle East (one hour) and Shanghai (50 minutes).

To cut the waiting time, CEB and Cebgo passengers are encouraged to use the following check-in options:

• CEB Mobile Check-in. Download the official Cebu Pacific Mobile App on the App Store or Google Play and tap on the Check-In option. CEB Mobile Check-in is available from seven (7) days to four (4) hours before an international flight, and up to one (1) hour before a domestic flight.

• CEB Web Check-in. Visit the Manage Booking section of the Cebu Pacific website (http://www.cebupacificair.com). For international flights, web check-in is available from seven (7) days up to four (4) hours before scheduled flight departure. Those taking domestic flights can do web check-in up to one (1) hour before their scheduled departure.

• Self Check-in Kiosks. Passengers at NAIA Terminals 3 and 4 and selected domestic airports can use these kiosks to check-in their flights eight (8) hours up to one (1) hour before the scheduled flight departure.

Domestic web or mobile check-in guests with check-in luggage can drop these off at the bag drop counter at least 45 minutes before the flight, except those exiting the Middle East (one hour) and Shanghai (50 minutes). International web or mobile check-in guests still need to show up at check-in or bag drop counter at least one (1) hour before the flight to present valid travel documents.

We will provide updates on any flight schedule changes in light of the ASEAN Summit as soon as possible.

FLIGHT ADVISORY: As of October 16, 2017
Iloilo International Airport is back to normal operations. The disabled aircraft has been removed already.

All passengers affected by the flight cancellation to and from Iloilo from October 14 to 16,2017 will still be able to choose from these options:

1. Move to the next available flights of the same route within 30 days from original departure.
2. Credit shell valid for 30 days
3. Refund

Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer as Visa-free entry to Taiwan for Filipinos is postponed to a later date. CEB Travel Advisory - As part of security measures, we require passengers to present a valid ID upon check-in and at the boarding gate. We will not accept invalid, expired or damaged IDs. When necessary, a passenger may be required to present more than one identification card.

We have encountered cases where invalid or fake IDs were presented. These passengers were not allowed to board the aircraft.

Valid identification includes: Company or School ID, passport, or government-issued ID cards which reflects on its face the name, picture, date of birth, and nationality of the guest checking-in (e.g. SSS, GSIS, Driver’s License, Unified Multi-Purpose ID, PRC ID, PWD or PRM ID issued by the National Council on Disability Affairs or a local government unit, or Senior Citizen’s Identification Card issued by the Office for Senior Citizen Affairs in the city or municipality where the person resides).
