⚠️ NAIA TERMINAL UPDATE ⚠️

Flying to your INTERNATIONAL destination with Shenzhen Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, Air China, Vietnam Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, AirAsia, or Japan Airlines?

Please take note of the following terminal reassignments starting March 29 and April 1. If you're flying with one of these airlines, you may contact your airline of choice to verify which terminal you should proceed to.

ADVISORY: TERMINAL UPDATE

As part of ongoing efforts to optimize terminal capacity and improve passenger movement at NAIA, the following airline terminal changes will be implemented:

Effective March 29, 2026
From Terminal 1 to Terminal 3
- Air China (CA)
- China Eastern (MU)
- Vietnam Airlines (VN)
- Royal Brunei (BI)
- Shenzhen Airlines (ZH)

From Terminal 3 to Terminal 1
- Philippines AirAsia (Z2) – International flights only
- AirAsia Berhad (AK)

Effective April 1, 2026
From Terminal 1 to Terminal 3
- Japan Airlines (JL)

Passengers are advised to verify their terminal assignment with their airline prior to travel.

Want to explore, study, or work in Korea but don't have a visa yet? Applying for a Korean Visa that suits your needs has now become easier!

Check out this announcement from KVAC. 👇

In order to enhance convenience for visa applicants and promote visits to Korea, the required supporting documents for visa applications will be revised as follows, effective February 20, 2026.

• For all types of required documents, the submission of “three (3) months of bank statements” will be waived.

• For student applicants, the proof of student status requirement will be changed from “Original School Certificate and copy of Student ID” to “either the original School Certificate or a copy of the Student ID” (the applicant may choose and submit one).

• In cases with multiple applicants, common documents (e.g., invitation letter, family relationship documents, company-related documents, etc.) should be submitted in one (1) copy only and attached to the representative applicant’s file.

• For employment-related documents, the submission of an explanation letter will be waived in cases where there is no landline number indicated, or when it is issued with an electronic signature. As long as other reachable contact information (email address or mobile phone number) is provided, the document will be accepted.

Effective date : Feb 09(Monday), 2026

•︎ Before : 14 working days

•︎ After : 16 working days

Please Note : Express application will still take five (5) working days.

Applicants may visit our center on the next working day after receiving the SMS notification.

📣 HEADS UP, TRAVELERS! 📣

Planning a trip to Thailand soon? Then the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is a must! 🇹🇭 ✈️

The new TDAC serves as the replacement for the paper arrival/departure card, and it should be submitted within 72 hours (3 days) before the scheduled arrival of your flight in Thailand. Please take note of the requirements indicated in this post.

Planning a trip to the "Land of the Rising Sun" but don't have a visa yet? Good news! Starting April 7, 2025, you can now apply for a Japan visa through the new Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC). 🇯🇵

Arriving at NAIA Terminal 1? New NAIA Infrastracture Corporation (NNIC) has good news for you!

Per NNIC's press release last January 10, 2025, the main arrival curbside is now open to all passengers arriving at Terminal 1. To recap, this particular curbside was primarily reserved for VIPs, while the arrival extension at the ground floor served as the primary waiting area for the rest of arriving passengers, the passengers' greeters, and other pickups.

The main arrival curbside has the following designations:
- Bays A1 to A10: All private vehicles
- Bays A8 to A9: Pickups for persons with disabilities (PWDs)
- Bays A11 and A12: VIP pickups
- Bays A13 and A14: Hotel pickups
- Area after Bay A14: Terminal transfer shuttle buses

The outer curbside (Bays B1 to B6) will serve as an additional pickup area, as well as a waiting area for meeters and greeters. Pickups through ride-hailing apps like Grab will also be designated in the outer curbside.

The arrival extension area (Bays C1 to C6) on the ground level will now become the waiting area for rent-a-car services, coupon taxis, and yellow metered taxis.

While this is another step towards improving the airport experience at NAIA Terminal 1, please take note that the main arrival curbside reassignment is in its soft launch phase, and it might take some time to fully implement it. NNIC asks for everyone's understanding and cooperation regarding this improvement.

Planning to travel to the "Land of the Rising Sun" soon? You might want to consider applying for a Japan tourist visa as early as now. 🇯🇵

As stated on the website of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines:
“Due to the rapid increase in the number of visitors from the Philippines, examination of visa applications for tourism purposes may take several weeks longer than the standard processing time. Therefore, we highly recommend for applicants to please apply at least two months prior to the date of travel.”

Please take note that this is applied only to those who will apply for a single-entry or multiple-entry TOURIST VISA. Processing time of visa applications for business-related purposes shall remain the same.
