FLYING SAFELY WITH PAL

PAL continues to implement Fly Safe practices to protect our passengers, in compliance with international health and safety protocols.

Masks are no longer required on flights to, from or within the Philippines, in compliance with Philippine Government Proclamation No. 297 of July 2023 that lifted the state of the COVID-19 health emergency, including the mask mandate and other COVID-19 protocols. Our passengers have the flexibility of choice to wear masks or not.

Passengers may still bring their own face masks to use when they travel, if they prefer. Please note that masks may still be required for some destinations based on the laws and requirements of other countries. For flights operated by Philippine Airlines’ codeshare partners, please check with our partner airlines about their respective mask policies.

All PAL aircraft are equipped with high-technology systems that continuously infuse fresh air across the cabin as well as HEPA filters that trap viruses, bacteria, and other contaminants with 99.99% efficiency. The air flow system creates a cleaner environment that is safer than most enclosed public spaces and comparable to hospital operating rooms.

For more information, please visit the Safety Measures page.

SPECIAL REMINDER TO CHECK ON UPDATES:
Our plans and schedules may change in response to changes in travel restrictions at arrival airports. Kindly check our website Philippine Airlines, or follow our social media accounts for updates.

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Your health and safety will always be our top concern, and we wish you safe travels.

Philippines targets to host 2025 FIVB (Volleyball) Women’s World Championships (SEASIDE ARENA CEBU)

Hans Sy (SM Group-National University Chairman), bared a suggestion that the world championships be staged at a world-class arena at SM Cebu.

The arena, according to Sy, is currently being built and is expected to surpass the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

“Besides the main court, there will also be a warmup court,” said Sy of the Cebu arena that will seat at least 15,000 just like the MOA Arena. “What we missed out in the MOA Arena, we’re including them all in Cebu.”
