Aboitiz InfraCapital Officially Takes Over Panglao Airport

Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc. (AIC) has officially taken the reins of Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA) as of June 16, 2025—marking its third major airport under its expanding aviation portfolio.

Dubbed the “Green Gateway to the World,” BPIA is now part of AIC’s mission to modernize regional airports and enhance connectivity across the country. Over ₱4.53 billion will be invested to expand capacity from 2M to 3.9M passengers yearly by 2030, improve infrastructure, and install cutting-edge airport tech.

“This is about empowering tourism and inclusive growth,” said AIC CEO Cosette Canilao, as the company commits to transforming BPIA into a globally competitive hub.

BPIA now joins Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) and Laguindingan International Airport (LIA) under AIC’s management.
