Hit by a fallen tree during Typhoon Uwan, this resting area before reaching Petawana has finally been repaired.
Expenses were covered through Uwan donations and the HEGO fund, while food was generously prepared and shared by those who volunteered in repairing the damaged cabin.
When people come together with one clear goal, nothing is impossible and everything can be achieved in no time.💚

Barangay Bayyo attended the North Luzon Travel Expo 2025 as one of the finalists for this year’s Search for the Best Tourism Village – Cordillera.

Making it to the Top 12 out of 21 entries from the different provinces of the Cordillera Region is already a remarkable accomplishment, especially for a first-time participant. The search for the Best Tourism Village serves as a valuable learning and exposure opportunity for Barangay Bayyo to further introduce, develop, and sustain its tourism initiatives—made possible through the collective efforts of its constituents and partner organizations.

Although Barangay Bayyo did not make it to the Top 6, this does not dwindle our fighting spirit. Instead, it fuels our determination to participate again next year—this time with more knowledge, experience, and an even stronger commitment to showcase the beauty and culture of our community.

On behalf of the Barangay Local Government of Bayyo and the Hagpatan Environmental Guides Organization, maraming-maraming salamat to everyone who took part in the final assessment of the Search for the Best Tourism Village.

To all who gave their time, effort, and support in any way—be it through participation, help in preparations, or monetary assistance—because of you, nairaos po natin ng maayos ang assessment. Ya inparubwat tako han judges ya bisita ay satisfied, happy, and full.

We continue to hope and pray that Bayyo makes it to the final 6 spot. Whatever the outcome, this experience has already shown the strength of our unity and the beauty of our community spirit.

Preparations are now at their peak, and we take this moment to recognize the collective effort of everyone involved.

Barangay Bayyo made it to the Top 12 Best Tourism Villages and now we’re getting ready for the next assessment! 💪

Today, the Hagpatan Environmental Guides Organization together with the Bontoc Tourism Office joined the community meeting to talk about what needs to be prepared. Everyone present was encouraged to lend a hand and share the word so that the whole community can work together in the preparation and showcasing the beauty and spirit of Bayyo. 💚

Bayyo made it to the Top 12 — and this alone is a strong statement in itself. It shows that we have what it takes, that our community has potential worth recognizing. This is not the end of the journey, but just the beginning. What we have is valuable — our culture, our people, our spirit. All we need now is to sustain the momentum and keep believing in what we have to offer. Let’s continue pushing forward. Let’s aim higher. Together, we can make it all the way to the top.
