โMAYMAYโ SLIGHTLY INTENSIFIES AS IT MOVES ERRATICALLY OVER THE SEA WEST OF ILOCOS SUR.

The center of Tropical Storm MAYMAY was estimated based on all available data at 160 km West Southwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur (17.6ยฐN, 119.0ยฐE).
โข Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 90 km/h, and central pressure of 996 hPa.

Northeastward Slowly

Strong to gale-force winds extend outwards up to 180 km from the center

Severe Winds
The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds. Winds are less strong in areas sheltered from the prevailing wind direction.
โข Minor to moderate impacts from gale-force winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 2.
โข Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 1.
The Southwest Monsoon and the periphery of MAYMAY will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds):
โข Today: Most of Luzon and Visayas, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Agusan del Norte, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Maguindanao del Norte, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental.
โข Tomorrow (06 August) and Friday (07 August): Most of the country.
