Feast your eyes on the vibrant marigold fields of Jembrana, Bali. The name Jembrana originated from the word “Jimbar-Wana”, which means “wilderness” in the Balinese language. Besides the flower fields of Yehembang Kangin Village, another highlight of this region is Makepung, the traditional water buffalo race. Makepung, literally meaning “chasing”, is a game that was played by farmers in the past and has now transformed into a full-fledged racing competition.
