A page for people who have lived, loved or hated, Boracay and have moved on or passed away. This is to preserve a period of time for the social scenes on Boracay, before the island became watered down under the weight of change and tourism. This is so the people and the times don't get forgotten because for many they were great times we all still exist in each others memories.

Anyone is free to post other ex pat people who landed and lived on Boracay for 3 years or more, then left or passed away. This page is a bit of a memory lane, where we can look back on a time and place that was Boracay as we experienced it. Everyone's experience of Boracay is different, but most overlap in some way. Feel free to contribute with faces , places or information. Vive la Boracay! Poor little Boracay now drowning in tourism, still loved by many. :-)

Mike Enderle and Chrisi of Boracay-yachting. Mike and Chrisi arrived on Boracay with quite a lot of „charter experience. In 2003 they started to sail the "Tamarind“ for Robin Doughty with the B&B resort. They or Chrisi had 6 month contract to operate. They loved the sunset tours, the day and the week cruises. At that time running around with flyers drumming up business and did well.So they bought the "Tamarind" from Robin and overhauled her. It became a nice little community around the boat and trips. Sometimes they sailed to Manila and Cebu. Chrisi left the island in 2009 to went back to reality. Mike still enjoyed the lifestyle until 2014 when the Tamarind was sold to a continuing business..Mike returned to Germany and is working for the Federal Police, but still likes to visit Boracay on occasion also to study English at Paradise English school. Good luck Mike and Chrisi! We're all just sailing ships in time, avoiding the rocks when we can... :-)

Not been here for ages...missing Marcus, Patrick (Bazzura) Arne and Marcello, Patrick (Butterfly Garden) English Shawn, Paul (Blonde) , Ritchi who died of throat cancer, Doctor Philippe, Susan. To name just a few....There was a Russian 'Sammy' very off the scale/ Rumour has it, he resides on the seabed way off Bulabog anyone know about him or the rumor?

Roger of De Paris resort and restaurant. Passed 2016. What a dude! Roger, one of the great original western landers on Boracay from way back. He always preserved a very nice down to Earth attitude and was so full of history and fascinating stories. Anyone who has the dates and ANY other information and pictures please send so I c,an re-post with a post he deserves. Roger left his wife and his beautiful daughter when he passed a few years back. Respect Roger!
