The opening ceremony officially marked the start of our three-day Surf in the City Regional Surfing Competition, bringing together surfers from different parts of Region VIII. Participants traveled from Hernani, Guiuan, Tacloban, and our neighboring town of Maydolong, along with a strong showing from our local surfers here in Borongan. Each competitor arrived with determination and passion, all aiming to deliver their best performance and secure a podium finish. We wish everyone the very best of luck throughout the competition.
We were deeply honored to be graced by the presence of our ๐๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ, ๐๐บ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ง๐ถ๐ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ป๐ฐ๐ผ, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ, ๐ญ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ, who each delivered inspiring and meaningful messages. Their words uplifted and motivated our surfers while highlighting the vital role of local sports in empowering the youth, strengthening community ties, and fostering a culture of support for grassroots, community-driven events such as this competition.
