Celebrating culture, heritage, and tourism through learning and experience.
The Fiesta ng Nayon 2026 served as the final output activity of the 1st Year Hospitality Management students — Sections 1A, 1B, and 1C for the subject Philippine Culture, Tourism, and Geography (HM52). Held at the historic Z. Montemayor Heritage House, the event highlighted the beauty of Filipino traditions, local tourism, and cultural heritage through interactive exhibits, presentations, and fiesta-inspired attractions that reflected the richness and diversity of the Philippines.
Known as the residence of the first University President of Central Mindanao University, the Montemayor Heritage House stands as one of the university’s important historical landmarks. Beyond its architectural value, the house carries a significant part of CMU’s history and heritage, making it a meaningful venue for a cultural and tourism-inspired celebration.
More than just a classroom requirement, the activity became an immersive cultural and tourism experience that allowed students to showcase their creativity, hospitality, and appreciation for Filipino heritage while promoting the importance of preserving historical landmarks and cultural identity for future generations.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our distinguished guests:
• Dr. Rolito G. Eballe - University President
• Dr. Jose S. Valmorida - VPAA
