As tensions continue to rise in the Middle East, we want to reach out to all our Filipino seafarers—those currently navigating the region and those preparing to depart. Your courage, commitment, and steady resolve remain a source of pride for the entire nation.
The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has offered a temporary suspension of vessel passage and flight transit through the Middle East Gulf, Gulf of Oman, North Arabian Sea, and the Strait of Hormuz amid the heightened situation.
An official advisory will be released once the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) issues the corresponding alert level.
For those who may be affected by rerouting or delays, please know that assistance will be provided—including accommodation support, constant monitoring, and help with travel adjustments as safer routes are identified.
To our brave seafarers:
Please stay alert. Follow your vessel’s safety protocols. Keep communication lines open with your fleet office. Your safety is our top priority, and we want every one of you to return home safely to your loved ones.
