Palawan has officially been crowned the #1 Island in the World by U.S. News & World Report. This recognition is based on a mix of expert evaluations and traveler reviews, highlighting Palawan’s stunning Kayangan Lake in Coron, the majestic limestone cliffs of El Nido’s Bacuit Bay, and the otherworldly underground river in the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

From its turquoise waters to its lush rainforests and rich biodiversity, Palawan continues to captivate the world and us Filipinos, could not be prouder. 🇵🇭✨

Sierra Madre and the Cordilleras are not just mountains, they are living defenses. Every time strong winds roar and rains pour endlessly because of typhoons, they take the first blow. They shield our homes, our families, our fields.

They are our country’s silent guardians.

But how long can they keep protecting us if we don’t protect them?

We’ve cut their trees, mined their soil, and turned a blind eye to their slow destruction.

It’s time we stop taking them for granted. Let’s be the kind of people who protect those who protect us! And let's be good stewards of this gift God gave us. ⛰️🌳
