𝗜𝗦𝗨-𝗖 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀’ 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 ‘𝟮𝟲 | 𝗣𝗧𝗚𝗖 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

The stage came alive as our first-year Tourism students performed during the opening of the Students’ Festival 2026 through the PTGC and GTGC Festival Dance Competition.

With colorful costumes and energetic moves, they showed the beauty of different Philippine and International festivals and the pride of being ISUans. This performance is a grand showcase of what they’ve learned in their core subjects: Philippine Tourism, Geography and Culture & Global Tourism, Geography and Culture.

Their performance highlighted teamwork, effort, and passion and proving that our future tourism professionals are ready to showcase Filipino culture.

From start to finish, the spirit of Pistang Pinoy was truly felt on stage.

We are thrilled to have you join our unique OJT program, where three premier culinary brands Amare by Chef Chris, Choi Garden, and Huwon by Kiwa have united to foster your growth in the service and culinary arts.

During our induction program held last February 23rd, our future professionals embarked on a learning adventure designed to expand their skills across diverse restaurant cultures. We were honored to have our expert HR team lead the sessions:

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬

𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

The Department of Tourism through the Office of Tourism Standards and Regulation-Standards Monitoring and Enforcement Division (OTSR-SMED) is temporarily suspending the conduct of Star Rating Classification Assessment for Hotels, Resorts and Apartment Hotels (HRAs) effective immediately until further notice. The suspension is due to the ongoing review and enhancement of the current assessment guidelines and process to ensure alignment with the 2024 National Accommodation Standards (NAS).

During this period, all on-site assessments shall be deferred, including re-assessment requests for previously evaluated properties. All applications received prior to the issuance of this Advisory shall be given priority once the conduct of Star Rating Assessment resumes.

We understand the importance of the National Accommodation Standards or the Star Rating Classification Program and assure everyone that this pause is intended to ensure improved efficiency, transparency, and overall service quality upon resumption. The Regional Offices will continue to process new and renewal applications for accreditation of accommodation establishments.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work towards improving the quality and accuracy of our star rating system. Further updates will be issued accordingly.
