Dinagsa Opening Salvo Moved to January 19

The Opening Salvo of the 52nd Dinagsa Festival, originally scheduled on January 16, has been re-scheduled to January 19 following the prevailing weather conditions brought by Tropical Storm Ada.

The decision was made to prioritize public safety as the tropical storm continues to influence weather conditions in parts of the Visayas, including the possibility of heavy rains and strong winds.

The adjustment aims to ensure a safer and more enjoyable opening for participants, performers, and festival-goers.

Despite the change, Cadiz City assured the public that the Dinagsa Festival activities will continue as planned, with the highlight events still set on their original dates.
