Guided by the visionary leadership of Governor Juliette T. Uy, the Provincial Tourism Department convened with Laguindingan International Airport to explore meaningful collaborations that will elevate the province’s tourism experience.

Among the key initiatives discussed were the enhancement of the airport’s tourism kiosk to proudly showcase local MisOr products, the installation of the Uniquely MisOr Marker, and the establishment of an all-gender restroom—reinforcing inclusivity and a welcoming environment for all travelers.

Present during the meeting were Mr. Wilmar Ramirez, Terminal Duty Manager; Ms. Anisah Methalicop, General Manager Coordinator; Tourism Consultant, Atty. Jeffrey C. Saclot; and, Provincial Tourism Operations Officer, Cris Roger B. Olape, representing Ms. Cindy Obeñita, Provincial Tourism Officer Designate.

Together, we move forward in positioning Misamis Oriental as a destination that is not only vibrant and unique—but also inclusive, innovative, and proudly local.

Tonight, Governor Juliette Uy convened a strategic meeting with Department of Tourism Regional Director for Northern Mindanao, Dir. Marie Elaine Unchuan, alongside Provincial Tourism Officer Ms. Cinderella Faye Obeñita, Mr. Dean Kim, Special Representative for Korea Partnership and Tourism Cooperation, Mr. John Lao, and Tourism Consultant Atty. Jeffrey C. Saclot.

The discussion centered on the exciting proposed dive development projects in Laguindingan—unlocking new opportunities beneath our waters—while also advancing plans for the Hawksbill Sea Turtle Sanctuary and other key collaborative initiatives.
