We are delighted to announce that 37 entries are officially vying for this year’s Uniquely MisOr Tourism Awards!

The journey to recognition begins as our esteemed panel of judges takes on the challenging task of evaluating this year’s entries on September 7, 2026, at Unity Hall, Capitol Compound, Cagayan de Oro City.

But the competition doesn’t end there.

The Top 3 Finalists in each category will face our judges head-on for an in-person interview on September 8, 2026, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their passion, innovation, impact, and commitment to tourism.

Who will rise above the rest? Who will earn the judges’ nod?

25 LGUs. 6 CATEGORIES. ONE UNFORGETTABLE COMPETITION.

Twenty-three municipalities and two component cities will vie for the inaugural Uniquely MisOr Tourism Awards—a celebration of the remarkable tourism initiatives, events, festivals, stories, and creativity of our local government units.

The competition will feature six categories: Best Tourism Video; Best Tourism Brochure; Best Tourism Week Celebration; Best Local Event; Best Religious Festival; and Best Cultural Festival.

Each LGU will have the opportunity to showcase what makes their community distinct, their celebrations meaningful, and their tourism efforts worthy of recognition.

This is more than a competition. It is a celebration of the diverse destinations, traditions, people, and experiences that make Misamis Oriental truly Uniquely MisOr.

The first-ever Uniquely MisOr Tourism Awards begins here.

By virtue of Proclamation No. 894, declaring the month of September of every year as National Tourism Week Celebration, the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, under the leadership of Governor Juliette T. Uy, proudly joins the nation in celebrating the invaluable contribution of tourism to our communities, culture, heritage, and local economy.

From September 14–18, 2026, Misamis Oriental will come alive with a meaningful week-long celebration that highlights our culture, destinations, products, talents, and the people who make MisOr truly special.

With the firm support of Governor Uy, the Province continues to strengthen tourism as a catalyst for inclusive growth, sustainable development, and greater pride in our shared identity.

This National Tourism Week, let us celebrate not only the places we invite the world to discover, but also the people and stories that make every journey truly unforgettable!

The province came together with our neighboring cultural communities from Bukidnon and Misamis Occidental, showcasing the rich heritage, vibrant traditions, and diverse cultural identity that make Northern Mindanao truly exceptional.

LOOK | The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, under the leadership of Governor Juliette T. Uy, proudly participated in the Opening Program of the 35th Mindanao Business Conference (MinBizCon) at the Limketkai Atrium earlier today.

Governor Uy served as one of the event’s distinguished Keynote Speakers, highlighting the province’s vision, opportunities, and potential as a destination for investment, tourism, and inclusive growth.

Meanwhile, Misamis Oriental takes center stage at the MinBizCon exhibit as we showcase our local products, tourism destinations, and the unique experiences that make our province truly Uniquely MisOr.
