WHY DO WE TRAVEL?
By Jab Echavez
For kids, it’s rarely about the destination, the hotel, or how much was spent.
They remember the feeling.
They remember laughing in airports.
Holding their parents’ hands.
The excitement of waking up early for a flight.
The snacks, the photos, the little adventures, the moments when everyone was simply together.
To adults, travel can mean rest, success, reward, or escape.
But to children?
Travel feels like love.
It tells them:
“Our family is safe.”
“We enjoy life together.”
“We make memories together.”
“No matter how busy life gets, we choose each other.”
And maybe that’s one of the deepest reasons we build generational wealth.
Not just to leave money behind—
but to create experiences, security, opportunities, and moments that shape the hearts of our children.
Because wealth without connection feels empty.
But wealth used to strengthen family becomes legacy.
These kids may not yet understand sacrifice, business pressure, sleepless nights, risks, or responsibilities.
But they will remember:
“Papa and Mama made life beautiful.”
“They gave us experiences.”
“They were present.”
“We were happy together.”
That becomes their standard of family.
That becomes their understanding of love.
That becomes the culture they will someday pass on to their own children.
Generational wealth is not only measured in properties, businesses, or bank accounts.
It is also measured in:
-emotionally secure children
-strong family bonds
-joyful memories
-shared experiences
-values passed down through presence and love
Because one day, the photos will become memories.
And the memories will become identity.
And maybe that is the true purpose behind building abundance:
not to impress the world,
but to give your family a life filled with love, joy, togetherness, and meaning.
