There have been several scam incidents these past few days involving Airbnb groups and direct bookings on Facebook.
Because of this, we’ve also been receiving a lot of inquiries asking if our page and listings are legit, and honestly, we understand the concern. As hosts, we are now worried that potential guests may hesitate to book because of these scammers.
For reassurance:
– We are DTI registered
– We have reviews posted on our page
– We can send our official Airbnb listing link
– You may check all of our social media accounts
– You may also message us through our personal Facebook accounts if needed
Please be careful of listings with rates that are too good to be true. Condo staycation rates usually do not go lower than ₱1,500 per night.
Some scammers also post fake “FULLY PAID” or “PAYMENT RECEIVED” screenshots to appear legitimate. Others pretend to be “agents” from agencies. Their posts may have 100+ reactions or comments saying “👍🏻” or “Legit,” but many of these are usually bots, dummy accounts, or dump accounts made just to make the post look trustworthy.
Before booking, we highly encourage guests to:
• Ask for the official Airbnb link of the listing for reassurance
• Ask for a legit check in Facebook groups
• Wait for admins or trusted members to confirm if the listing is legitimate
Please stay vigilant and always double check before sending any payments online :)
