Sometimes, the Lord allows unfavorable circumstances to lead us to people who will volunteer to help without expecting anything in return to remind us of something that we were destined to be. A calling that we set aside...The heart to give.
When we did an ocular visit to Mapanuepe lake, we got stuck for several hours. Our guide, together with other locals helped. A truck rescued us and the van was taken to a repair shop. We just wanted to go home because of the stress and the trauma of being stuck in the mud and river for a couple of hours. But Rex said he can drive the van since we're there already and for us to see the beauty of Lake Mapanuepe. And true enough, it was beautiful. It was magical. Our guide kuya Sonny, the caretaker at phase 4 and Rex regularly checked on us to make sure we were okay. When we were about to leave, we expressed our appreciation to them and ask how we can make it up to them. They humbly asked if it was possible to give raincoats and boots to the guides for them to be more equipped. Today Feb 28, we went back and fulfilled that request. It wasn't much, it was not the kind of outreach program we usually do but the giving was coming from a place of gratitude.
Thank you Lord for reminding us on what we were called to do. Our group even though small, will always try our best to Honor Your name through giving. Only by Your Grace, Lord that we can make this possible.
