From the City Tourism Office and the CDRRMO

Bangon Falls and Tarangban Falls will be closed indefinitely effective February 7, 2026.

This measure is being implemented as a precaution to ensure the safety of our guests and tourism frontliners following a landslide that occurred on the access road leading to Bangon Falls.

We ask for everyone’s understanding and cooperation. Further updates will be announced once the area has been thoroughly assessed and deemed safe for reopening.

During last Monday’s Flag Raising Ceremony, Mayor Raymund Uy led the City Officials and employees of LGU-Calbayog in recognizing what truly makes our city shine — honest hearts and dedicated public service.

👏 Saludo kami sa aton mga tangkod nga PD-Cab drivers!
Around 11 PD-Cab drivers were honored for returning wallets, mobile phones, and other valuables left behind by passengers. For their integrity and good deeds, they received monetary rewards as a simple but heartfelt thank you.

Mayor Uy commended their actions, saying that they reflect the good values of Calbayognons and set an example worth following.
