OFFICIAL ADVISORY | MT. PINATUBO TREKKING VIA CAPAS IS NOW OPEN 🌋

The Municipality of Capas Tourism Office is pleased to announce the official reopening of the Mt. Pinatubo Trekking Adventure via Capas, effective July 16, 2026.

Visitors are once again invited to experience the breathtaking beauty of one of the Philippines’ most renowned natural attractions. The adventure includes a scenic 4×4 ride across the lahar landscape, a guided trek through canyons and river crossings, and spectacular views of the iconic Mt. Pinatubo Crater Lake, while also offering an opportunity to appreciate the culture, traditions, and hospitality of the local Aeta community.

To help preserve this unique destination for future generations, all visitors are encouraged to observe the Leave No Trace principles by respecting the environment, disposing of waste properly, and leaving the area as they found it.

For a safe and enjoyable journey, visitors are advised to:

• Wear appropriate trekking attire and sturdy footwear.
• Bring sufficient drinking water, light snacks, and sun protection.
• Follow the instructions of accredited tour guides at all times.
• Register and secure the necessary permits through the Capas Tourism Office before the trek.
