The Department of Tourism (DOT) advises all tourists to take precautionary measures in light of the latest PAGASA Weather Advisory on Severe Tropical Cyclone βOpongβ and the Southwest Monsoon, which are expected to bring heavy to intense rainfall across various parts of the country.
Travel Reminders
β’ Expect possible flight, ferry, and land transport delays or cancellations due to adverse weather. Tourists are advised to check with airlines, shipping lines, and transport operators before proceeding with trips.
β’ Be alert to possible flooding and landslides, especially in mountainous and low-lying areas.
β’ Tourists already in affected areas are encouraged to stay indoors, avoid unnecessary travel, and heed local authoritiesβ instructions.
