In 2016, the Caramoan Island Tour Package page was established just to provide a “tourist’s DIY tour” fan page in Caramoan, for legal purposes, it has now a DTI accredited business name of FOUR TWENTY TRAVEL AND TOURS. The ability to arrange, handle and provide an island tour package was acquired and developed after 7 years of service being in a luxurious four-star hotel and resort in Caramoan, the Tugawe Cove Resort. The continuous application of all those ideas has pushed us up to be more efficient in every possible way and it allows us to provide a new travel plan for some of the tourist spots nearby the town. We are always considering all the possible changes along the way while refining our upgraded tour packages around the Region. ⛪ ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL CHURCH — CARAMOAN 🇵🇭

One of the most historic landmarks in Caramoan, Camarines Sur, the St. Michael the Archangel Parish traces its history back to 1619, when Franciscan missionary Fray Francisco de la Cruz y Oropesa began the Christian mission in the Caramoan Peninsula and established a settlement known as Baluarte.

🏛️ HISTORY & TRIVIA

🔸 Founded in 1619 — The parish is listed as established in 1619 and belongs to the Archdiocese of Caceres.

🔸 Originally a simple chapel — Historical accounts describe an early chapel made from indigenous materials such as nipa, bamboo, and wood before later construction in more permanent materials.

🔸 Centuries-old church — The church became known for its historic masonry and brick appearance, making it one of Caramoan's most recognizable heritage landmarks.

🔸 400 years of faith — In 2019, the parish celebrated its 400th year of evangelization, marking four centuries of Catholic tradition in the Caramoan Peninsula.

🔸 Patron Saint — The church is dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel, whose feast in the parish is celebrated every May 8.

🔸 More than a church — Beyond its religious importance, the church stands as part of Caramoan's cultural and historical identity alongside its famous beaches, islands, limestone formations, and local traditions.
