Nestled within the breathtaking Bacuit Archipelago, Entalula Beach is a pristine jewel of El Nido, Palawan, celebrated for its raw, untouched beauty and dramatic landscape. As the winner of "The World's 50 Best Beaches 2026," this secluded slice of paradise embodies the exotic fantasy of Southeast Asia. Access to the island is exclusively by boat, typically as a coveted stop on an island-hopping tour, ensuring it maintains an air of tranquil isolation despite its fame. The moment the traditional Filipino bangka boats glide into its protected bay, travelers are met by a breathtaking panorama of towering, jagged limestone karst formations enveloped in lush tropical foliage, dramatically contrasting against the sky and water.
The main attraction of Entalula is its exquisite lagoon and crescent-shaped stretch of sand. The sand is exceptionally fine and powdery, a soft, warm white that feels like silk underfoot. This pristine shoreline is met by some of the clearest, most vibrant water on Earth, transitioning seamlessly from a luminous turquoise near the beach to deep cerulean farther out. The water’s clarity is legendary, revealing a complex mosaic of coral gardens, sand patches, and exotic marine life thriving just beneath the surface. It is a true underwater paradise, often referred to as a "swimming pool" due to its calm, inviting nature and perfect temperature.
Activities on Entalula focus primarily on appreciating the rich environment. While relaxing on the beach and soaking in the overwhelming scenery is popular, the vibrant marine ecosystems beckon visitors into the water. Swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking are the preferred methods for exploring the reef that borders the sand. Here, a diverse range of coral, tropical fish, and occasionally sea turtles can be spotted in the clear shallows. For the more adventurous, the dramatic limestone cliffs, which sometimes rise over 100 feet vertically from the water, provide challenging and exhilarating opportunities for rock climbing or simply exploring the small, hidden coves carved by erosion.
Despite its global recognition, Entalula retains a sense of wild, natural enchantment. It offers a balance between dramatic, imposing geography and soft, serene beachfront, making it a masterpiece of nature. The image captures this harmony, highlighting the towering karsts that embrace the bay, the iconic outrigger boats moored in the glowing, crystalline waters, and the small, human figures on the sand that emphasize the grand scale of the landscape. Visiting Entalula isn't just a beach trip; it's an immersive dive into the heart of the Philippines' most spectacular natural landscape.

They are doing it. We can, too.

Rwanda Building One of Africa’s Largest Airports with Qatar Airways Backing

Construction of Bugesera International Airport in Rwanda is underway, with the project now estimated to cost around $2 billion following a redesign and expansion of its initial scope.

The airport is being developed through a strategic partnership with Qatar Airways, which holds a 60% stake and plays a central role in financing and construction.

Once completed, the new airport is expected to significantly boost Rwanda’s position as a regional aviation hub. The first phase, scheduled for completion around 2028, will have the capacity to handle approximately 7 million passengers annually. A final phase, projected for around 2032, will expand capacity to about 14 million passengers per year.

To accelerate progress and strengthen its aviation infrastructure, Rwanda approved additional funding of nearly $500 million in 2025.

The project, initially valued at about $1.3 billion, has grown in scale over time, reflecting the country’s ambition to develop one of the largest and most modern airports in Africa.

FIRST IN SOUTHEAST ASIA, 2ND IN ASIA AFTER JAPAN

The Philippines has become the first country in Southeast Asia to launch and roll out satellite-to-phone connectivity technology in partnership with Starlink and Globe Telecom — specifically Starlink’s Direct-to-Cell (DTC) service. It’s also the second country in all of Asia to adopt this service after Japan.
The new Direct-to-Cell system lets standard LTE mobile phones (no extra hardware or special devices needed) connect directly to satellites in low-Earth orbit when there’s no ground-based cell tower coverage nearby. That means:
-Voice calls and texting via satellite
-Basic data services (messaging apps, internet)
-Coverage in remote or island areas without traditional signal infrastructure
-Connectivity during disasters when cell towers fail
The technology has been formally unveiled and partnerships signed in early 2026, with rollouts and broader availability expected soon as the service begins operation.

THE SECOND SAN JUANICO BRIDGE PROJECT WILL INCORPORATE ADVANCE JAPANESE TECHNOLOGY.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have successfully concluded the wrap-up meeting for the ongoing Fact-Finding Mission on the Second San Juanico Bridge (SSJB) Construction Project.

The meeting marked a key milestone in the project, with DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain engaging with officials from JICA Headquarters—Takehiro Kido, Risa Aramaki, and Saiko Yamazaki; JICA Philippine Office Senior Representative Keisuke Fukui; and members of the JICA Study Team for SSJB, Takeyuki Takada and Buntaro Shiono.

The SSJB Project will undergo a 15-month Detailed Engineering Design phase, with civil works expected to commence in 2028 and span approximately 32 months.

The project scope includes the construction of a new bridge and its approach roads, along with operations and maintenance (O&M) facilities. While repairs to the existing San Juanico Bridge are not included in this project’s scope, a detailed inspection and structural assessment will be conducted during the design phase, with urgent repairs to be prioritized based on consultant recommendations.

The bridge’s design will incorporate advanced Japanese technologies to ensure long-term reliability and operational efficiency. Key innovations include paint life extension steel to enhance durability and reduce maintenance requirements; composite slab technology to shorten construction time and ease maintenance; and seismic isolation bearings to improve earthquake resilience.

BE PREPARED‼️ 😱 Giant Typhoon “UWAN” Could Cover the Entire PHILIPPINES! 🇵🇭🌀

Unbelievable, fellow Filipinos — the massive Tropical Storm looks like a giant shadow in the sky, with cloud formations already stretching across almost the entire country even while it’s still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)! 🌧️

According to PAGASA, “Uwan” is expected to enter the PAR as a strong typhoon by Saturday, and could make landfall over Northern or Central Luzon by Monday, November 10.

⚠️ Not only Luzon but even Visayas should prepare, as its huge size means nearly the entire archipelago could be affected. It may bring heavy rains, flooding, and landslides in several areas.

👉 Reminder: Don’t panic, but don’t be complacent either. Make sure to have an emergency kit, flashlight, fully charged phones, and a family communication plan. 🙏🏻

Let’s pray and prepare, because sometimes, it’s not the storm’s strength that’s dangerous — it’s the lack of preparedness.
