"The Majestic Layered Falls"
Pinipisakan Falls is a hidden paradise in the middle of wild forest located in Barangay Bay-ang, San Jorge, Samar. It is a three layered falls. The source of its water comes from a spring inside of Sulpan-Pinipisakan Cave, the reason why the water flowing along the falls is very cold and clear ..
TRAVEL GUIDE:
If you come from Catbalogan and you are going to visit this majestic falls, you have to ride a van, jeep or bus going to San Jorge crossing, a 30 minutes travel to the North and the fare is 30-100 pesos depending on the mode of transportation you are going to take, upon reaching San Jorge crossing you have to ride a habal-habal going to Barangay Blanca-Aurora, travel time is around 15 to 20 minutes, and the fare starts at 35 pesos per head to 140 pesos per habal. Upon reaching Blanca-Aurora duungan, look for a tour guide who will lead your trail going to Pinipisakan, the fee starts at 300-500 pesos and rent a pump or torpedo boat going to Pinipisakan Falls, travel time is 1:30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the speed of your boat and the current of water flowing in the river, the rent is 1,500 per boat maximum of 4 persons. Upon reaching the Pinipisakan duungan you have to hike 30 minutes to 1 hour going to Pinipisakan, you have to ready yourself for nonstop walking, hiking and mountain climbing .. From there you have to bring a lot of patience and water going to the falls. Simply because the way is not that easy since you have to climb uphill and pass through the cliff, muddy land, slippery rocks, and "masukal na daan" .. at the end it is a good exercise too.. after the adventurous trail you will be amazed with the scenic beauty of Pinipisakan Falls.
Activities you can do in the site are the following: Canyoneering, Camping, Caving and unlimited swimming ..
going back is quite easy compared of going to the falls, which is much difficult and adventurous.. Enjoy your visit! ;) :)
