Under the BIMP-EAGA Travel Tax Exemption program, the only international destination countries that qualify for Philippine Travel Tax exemption are:
1. 🇧🇳 Brunei Darussalam
2. 🇮🇩 Indonesia
3. 🇲🇾 Malaysia (including Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan)
These are the only foreign countries covered by the exemption. The Philippines (Mindanao and Palawan) is the point of departure, not the destination.

* Kuala Lumpur
* Kota Kinabalu (Sabah)
* Kuching (Sarawak)
* Miri
* Tawau
* Sandakan
* Johor Bahru
* Penang
* Langkawi
* and other cities in Malaysia
Important conditions
To qualify, you must:
* Depart from any international airport or seaport in Mindanao or Palawan.
* Your final international destination must be Brunei, Indonesia, or Malaysia.
* If connecting via Manila or Cebu, the onward connection must generally be within 24 hours and meet TIEZA’s eligibility rules.
Countries such as Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, UAE, Australia, Europe, the USA, and Canada are NOT covered by the BIMP-EAGA travel tax exemption.
