BREAKING (updated): MGA BAKUNADO BATOK , MAKASULOD NA SA NEGROS ORIENTAL NGA WALAY ANTIGEN TEST —DEGAMO

Effective Thursday (November 4, 2021), fully vaccinated travelers may enter Negros Oriental without having to present any test requirements.

Governor Roel Degamo announced this in a video released on the page of the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental this afternoon, Nov. 3, 2021.

The new eased travel requirements are:

FOR FULLY VACCINATED TRAVELERS:
✅ Vaccination card
✅ Any government-issued valid ID
✅ A photocopy of both to be given to border control authorities upon arrival for contact tracing purposes.

FOR UNVACCINATED TRAVELERS:
✅ Any government-issued valid ID
✅ A NON-REACTIVE or NEGATIVE ANTIGEN test result valid for 48 hours after release of the result
✅ A photocopy of both, in one page, to give to border control authorities for contact tracing purposes.

He noted that the lifting of the test requirement had been consulted with DOH-7 regional director Dr. Jaime Bernadas.

"Ang iya lang gi-advice nako... nga ipa-monitor gyud sa nurses nga atong assigned sa (border control). They must be vigilant nga wala ba'y gahilanat o unsa nga mga (sintomas) nga mailhan nimo nga duna'y COVID," Degamo said.

The governor added that he is set to issue an executive order on the development today.

GOOD NEWS! DIVE7 FESTIVALS - DIVE ALOGUINSAN will push through on November 12-13, 2021 at Hermits Cove, Aloguinsan, Cebu.

Aloguinsan has great potential to be developed and packaged as one of the dive sites in the region. We will be holding the Dive7-Dive Aloguinsan leg to introduce the destination to local divers and dive enthusiasts.

The DIVE7 festival events is a collaboration among the DOT Regional Office VII, the Cebu Provincial Government, Municipality of Aloguinsan, Moalboal Dive Association (MDA), Municipality of Moalboal and dive stakeholders.

Dive7 Festivals - Dive Aloguinsan will have these activities:
PHOTO COMPETITION
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING COURSE
BUBBLE MAKER FOR KIDS COURSE
FUN DIVES
UNDERWATER AND COASTAL CLEAN-UP

Our DOT and PCSSD Accreditation Officers will also be there to assist our stakeholders on their accreditation application.

Following the success of the DIVE7 events, we are happy to announce that Aloguinsan has been identified to be one of the destinations to be included in the 2021 dive festivals.

An assessment team inspected Hermits Cove, the identified event area for the dive event, last June 14, 2021, and found that the destination has great potential to be developed and packaged as one of the dive sites in the region.

The DIVE7 festival events is a collaboration among the DOT Regional Office VII, the Cebu Provincial Government, Municipality of Aloguinsan, Moalboal Dive Association (MDA), Municipality of Moalboal and dive stakeholders.

Aloguinsan leg will be conducted on July 29-31, 2021 (3-day event with series of activities).

There will be series of activities such as:

PHOTO COMPETITION
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING COURSE
BUBBLE MAKER FOR KIDS COURSE
UNDERWATER AND COASTAL CLEAN-UP
ONE-STOP-SHOP (together with DOT7, PCSSD, PCG and MARINA7)
