My biggest group so far for my Night Food Tour! Thank you, Wilson, for booking the tour with your family and friends all the way from the US. It was so much fun watching their reactions as they tried Filipino food — some familiar, some completely new to them. And yes… the empanadas were a BIG hit! I was so proud telling them these are the best empanadas I’ve tried in Cebu! So grateful for moments like this. Claiming more fully booked tours soon!

Spent my pre-Valentine’s celebration with Caddy and her mom’s friends, plus their kids from . It was so worth it — watching the kids enjoy the food was the highlight! Surprisingly, the pig’s brain turned out to be their favorite dish of the day. Moments like these make everything extra special.

My personal recommendation for 2026 --- The Ube Velvet Leche Flan Cake at is a must-try. Their Yema Cake is just as good, and they also serve really great food overall. Drop by if you find any of their branches around Cebu City!

Ended my January street food tour with Meryem from Belgium — and I think she’s my first guest from there. And here she is enjoying taho from a vendor I spotted near a school. Yum. t’s fascinating that she became a linguist: she speaks Dutch and Arabic with her parents, and also grew up using French and German in her region. Food really brings people together to share stories, languages, and cultures.

Second booking for my Night Food Tour. So grateful to host Elyra and Jason all the way from Australia. They both enjoyed this kakanin or traditional Filipino rice cakes, kutsinta and palitaw. One of the must-try classic Filipino desserts is Brazo de Mercedes. A rolled cake featuring a light, fluffy meringue base wrapped around a rich, creamy custard filling (often yema), known for its delicate texture and sweet flavor. Don’t leave without tasting it!
