Pasundayag 2025 was a stunning celebration of culture, fashion, song, and dance, and it did not disappoint!

The stage came alive with vibrant colors, powerful performances, and the undeniable pride of Cebuano talent. From heartfelt cultural numbers to jaw-dropping fashion pieces and show-stopping dance routines, every moment was a reminder of how rich and alive our culture truly is.

Rita De Cascia Center for Women and Children, Asilo Children, and the Badjao Children Community in Cebu City.

Puso embodies the essence of Cebuano culture not just the rice wrapped in coconut leaves, but the love that accompanies each meal we enjoy together. It’s the type of food you relish using your hands, surrounded by loved ones, during moments that may appear simple yet linger in your memory. It’s unpretentious, practical and meant for sharing and that truly reflects our identity.

This Heritage Month, we’re reminded that the essence of Cebu is found in its cuisine. Each bite of crispy lechon reflects our celebrations and traditions, passed down from one fiesta to another. Every roadside pungko-pungko gathering allows us to share stories, and the lively tuslob buwa moments in Pasil or Carbon fill the air with laughter, overshadowing even the sound of sizzling pans.

Heritage isn't always about grandeur. Sometimes, it's embodied in greasy fingers, satisfied appetites, and the happiness found in street food. It captures the way we Cebuanos come together quick to smile, eager to welcome others and always ready to say "Mangaon Ta".

So this month, let’s honor what defines us as Cebuano; the flavors, the streets, and the food that brings us home. And of course, the puso both the rice we dip and the heart we carry.
