For the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management students of Sto. Niño Mactan College (SNMC), education goes beyond textbooks, lectures, and classroom discussions. It is about discovering the world, experiencing different cultures, understanding international tourism, and appreciating how travel connects people, communities, and nations.
Through an educational journey to Taiwan, our future tourism professionals experienced firsthand the diversity of the tourism industry, from cultural heritage and gastronomy to natural attractions, modern landmarks, and international sporting events.

An unforgettable opportunity to experience the excitement of an international marathon and witness Filipino champions proudly crossing the finish line! Our students discovered how sports tourism brings together athletes, international visitors, organizers, and local communities while contributing to destination promotion, hospitality, and economic opportunities.
🟠Taiwanese Pineapple Cakes – Culinary Tourism
A taste of Taiwan’s food heritage! Through its famous pineapple cakes, students discovered how traditional delicacies become cultural symbols, memorable souvenirs, and valuable products in the tourism industry.
🟠Shifen Waterfall – Nature and Ecotourism
One of Taiwan’s most spectacular waterfalls, showcasing the beauty of natural landscapes and the importance of environmental conservation, responsible tourism, and sustainable destination management.
🟠Tamsui Old District – Cultural and Heritage Tourism
A charming historical riverside destination where traditional streets, local delicacies, heritage attractions, and cultural influences demonstrate how history and community identity create authentic visitor experiences.
🟠Tamsui Lover’s Bridge – Waterfront and Leisure Tourism
A picturesque waterfront landmark highlighting how recreational spaces, scenic attractions, and destination development encourage leisure travel and enhance visitor experiences.

An internationally recognized symbol of Taiwan’s innovation and modern development, demonstrating how iconic architecture, shopping, observation attractions, and city branding can position a destination on the global tourism map.
🟠Ximending Night Market District – Shopping and Urban Cultural Tourism
A vibrant center of youth culture, street food, shopping, and entertainment, showcasing the important role of urban tourism, local businesses, and nighttime economies in attracting international visitors.
🟠Yehliu Geopark – Geological and Sustainable Tourism
A remarkable coastal landscape famous for its unique rock formations, providing valuable lessons on geological heritage, environmental protection, visitor management, and the preservation of natural tourism resources.
