An intriguing private collection of Roman Catholic and pre-colonial native imagery, christened Rice Gods and Saints by their donor, is now housed inside Museo Sugbo in 's downtown area.

Over a hundred pieces were shipped from Mrs. Hermosisima-Finnegan's home in the US and donated to both the Provincial Museum and the University of San Carlos Museum.

This half, inside what used to be the Provincial Jail for over a hundred years, is in a room that used to be the jail cell for errant officers of the law!

The perfect time to visit is now for the long weekend. Also in time for the 82nd Charter Day of my hometown!

Are you making plans to visit my hometown of for the long weekend?

Why don't you seek this hauntingly beautiful antique image of San Vicente Ferrer, appropriately the patron saint of prisons, as he is perched on an elevated window sill in what used to be one of the jail cells of the Provincial Jail, now the Provincial Museum...Museo Sugbo!
