Not an Advisory. .Biktima po ako ng mga "FRAUDSTERS" (SUPPLIER KUNO WITH FULL WARRANTY and WILLING TO REPAY?). .Target po nila is mga legit(accredited)agent. .
Hindi po totoo yung widespread cancelation ni cebpac sadyang nahuli at na verified ni airline yung illegal activities sa socmed(FB) through selling cheaper tickets with big discounts. .
βThe whole truth and the only truthβ
Cebu Pacific has recently been canceling flight bookings that were bought using fraudulent or stolen credit cards, but this is not because of a widespread βhacker attackβ on their systems (so far, thereβs no verified report of a mass cyberhack breaching Cebu Pacificβs systems). Instead, hereβs whatβs actually happening based on current news and verified reports:
π« Whatβs Going On
1. Fraudulent Bookings Identified and Canceled
Cebu Pacific confirmed that some flight reservations were purchased using stolen or unauthorized credit cards, and then converted into travel funds that were being resold online β especially on social media groups like Facebook. These bookings have been canceled by the airline because they were made with illegitimate payment methods.
2. Individuals Intercepted
Authorities, working with Cebu Pacific, intercepted at least three people at an airport in the Philippines who were allegedly using fraudulent credit cards to book flights and resell them illegally.
3. Passengers Affected
People who had purchased these fraudβlinked bookings β often at what seemed like unusually cheap prices or through unauthorized sellers β are finding their flights canceled with little or no warning. Those affected have been told to rebook through the airlineβs official channels and pay again with legitimate payment.
β Whatβs Not Confirmed
Thereβs no credible report that Cebu Pacificβs systems were hacked in a mass cyberattack that leaked credit card data.
The issue appears to be fraudulent use of stolen card details by third parties, not a breach of Cebu Pacificβs own databases.
β οΈ Why This Matters
Fraudsters often resell travel funds or tickets at big discounts β but if the original booking is flagged as fraud and then canceled, the buyer loses their travel plans without compensation. This has caused complaints online from affected customers.
Cebu Pacific, warning the public to only book through its official website, mobile app, or accredited travel partners because unauthorized sellers may be tied to these fraud schemes.
π§ Tips if Youβre Affected
If your booking was canceled and you booked through an unofficial source, contact Cebu Pacific directly via their official customer support channels.
Always book through legitimate airline sites or accredited agents to reduce the risk of fraud.
