In 1996, a young surfing family stood by the shores of Bagasbas Beach and that is Jesse and Christian, now known as the ๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ ๐ง๐๐ถ๐ป๐, together with their parents Mr. Tarny and Tess Perkins. That simple portrait captured childhood innocence and the timeless beauty of Camarines Norteโs surfing haven.
Thirty years later, in 2026, the Perkins family returned to recreate their iconic family photo but this time as artists, youth advocates, and proud FilipinoโAmericans. Their visit echoes their famous song "Kaibigan", which speaks of true friendship, faith, and standing by one another. Just as the song inspires youth to value genuine bonds, their return reflects CamNorteโs spirit: not only a destination, but a community of friends ready to embrace every traveler.
This nostalgic moment was made possible through the Camarines Norte Provincial Tourism Operations Office, headed by Ms. Genelyn V. David, LPT, Acting Provincial Tourism Officer, in partnership with the Bagasbas Surfers Club Inc.
