𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗼𝘄: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 🌊✨

In 1996, a young surfing family stood by the shores of Bagasbas Beach and that is Jesse and Christian, now known as the 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀, together with their parents Mr. Tarny and Tess Perkins. That simple portrait captured childhood innocence and the timeless beauty of Camarines Norte’s surfing haven.

Thirty years later, in 2026, the Perkins family returned to recreate their iconic family photo but this time as artists, youth advocates, and proud Filipino‑Americans. Their visit echoes their famous song "Kaibigan", which speaks of true friendship, faith, and standing by one another. Just as the song inspires youth to value genuine bonds, their return reflects CamNorte’s spirit: not only a destination, but a community of friends ready to embrace every traveler.

This nostalgic moment was made possible through the Camarines Norte Provincial Tourism Operations Office, headed by Ms. Genelyn V. David, LPT, Acting Provincial Tourism Officer, in partnership with the Bagasbas Surfers Club Inc.

For CamNorte, the Perkins Twins’ return is more than a reunion but a reminder of why it’s always worth it to . Bagasbas Beach remains a symbol of adventure and heritage, inviting families, surfers, and travelers to create their own stories along its waves. 🌊💙

The second day of our province’s first-ever Travel Fair was nothing short of amazing! Travel fair goers had a great time exploring the vibrant promotional booths of our exhibitors coming from our municipalities, accommodation establishments, tourism groups, artisans and other stakeholders who proudly showcased Cam Norte’s diverse offerings.

The fun continued with exciting trivia games where lucky winners took home exclusive Cam Norte tourism merchandise and special prizes from our generous sponsor-exhibitors.

The day was also informative and inspiring with engaging tourism product presentations from the Municipalities of Daet, Labo and Santa Elena plus standout showcases from Breath Waves Freediving, Celeste Artisanal, and our host venue via the SM Store Daet.

The evening wrapped up with another round of the crowd-favorite Travel Fair Bingo giving away everything from cash prizes and gift certificates to the ultimate jackpot: an all-expense-paid trip for two to Calaguas Island! 🏝️

Day 2 was filled with joy, discoveries, and a deeper appreciation of Cam Norte’s beauty and tourism spirit. And the best part? The celebration isn’t over yet, Day 3 promises even more excitement, surprises, and reasons to say it’s always worth it to .

The spotlight was on brilliance and pride as 8 Junior High Schools from across the province came together last July 25, 2026 at SM City Daet for the very first 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙢 𝙉𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙯 𝘽𝙚𝙚 held as part of the successful Explore Cam Norte Travel Fair 2026.

From festivals to heritage, eco‑tourism gems to local geography, the quiz bee tested the knowledge and passion of Cam Norteño youth proving that the spirit of tourism and culture lives strongly in the next generation.

Last July 24, the 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗺 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 officially opened at SM City Daet marked by a vibrant opening and ribbon‑cutting ceremony led by Governor Ricarte “D**g” Padilla, Vice Governor Engr. Joseph V. Ascutia, DOT V Regional Director Herbie B. Aguas, Board Member John Carlo “Lukad” De Lima SPCommitee Chairman - Tourism, Provincial Board Members Jonah Pimentel, Teresita Malubay, Michael Canlas, Rebecca Padilla, Municipal Mayors, Municipal Tourism Officers, Reigning Pageant Titleholders, Bantayog Tourism Content Creators, The Provincial Tourism Council, Academe, Students and other invited guests.The opening was highlighted by the wonderful performances of the Tatak Kulturang Cam Norteño (TKC) Chorale and Dance Troupe.

Organized by the Provincial Government of Camarines Norte through the Provincial Tourism Operations Office headed by Ms. Genelyn “Angel” V. David, LPT, the fair carried the theme "𝙏𝙐𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙈𝙊, 𝙏𝘼𝙔𝙊 𝙈𝙄𝙎𝙈𝙊!" which is a call for unity, pride, and collective effort, reminding every CamNorteño that tourism thrives when the community itself takes part.

For the first time ever, municipalities, accommodation establishments, tour operators, travel agencies, artisans, and tourism groups gathered in one place to showcase the best of CamNorte. This milestone aligns with the Department of Tourism's newest domestic campaign in “Discover More to Love” alongside the tourism branding of our province in .

After the opening ceremonies, the travel fair goers were treated to a lively trivia game and informative Tourism Product Presentations from Municipal Tourism Offices , Tourism Oriented Groups and and artisans. The first day capped off by a fun Travel Bingo game, awarding cash prizes, gift certificates and free all expense paid trips to the pristine Calaguas Islands which is a fitting celebration of Cam Norte’s culture, adventure, and community spirit! 💚
