SHIP UPDATE | 2GO Travel will soon serve Manila-Cebu-Siargao and vice versa route using M/V 2GO Masikap and will tentatively start this October 2025
The countryโs remaining liner company: 2GO Travel will soon start a liner service connecting Manila (North Harbor) to Cebu and Siargao and vice versa route tentatively this October 2025 using M/V 2GO Masikap - one of the M Series of 2GO Travel.
The vessel is said to be docking in the newly constructed Jubang Cruise Port Terminal compared to the Dapa Port which is relatively small and liner vessels cannot dock in that said port
M/V 2GO Masikap is one of the new generation of newly acquired 2GO Liners, She is a 2002-built ROPAX Liner from Japan. The vessel has a length overall of 167 meters and a breadth of 26 meters.
She is powered by two units of Pielstick NKK Marine Diesel Engines with a total power of 27,000 horsepower which enables her to have a service speed of 19 to 21 knots
This new route is a great option for travellers who wish to have a more scenic and enjoyable cruise-like experience from Manila to Siargao via Cebu and a great alternative aside from airplanes to the country's surfing and island party capital ๐๐๏ธ
However, the vessel assignment and the start of travel for this new route is still tentative and will be subject to change.
