Mayon Volcano Named Worldโs Most Perfect Cone, Surpasses Mt. Fuji
Mayon Volcano has been recognized as the worldโs most perfectly formed cone, surpassing Japanโs Mt. Fuji, Costa Ricaโs Mt. Arenal, and New Zealandโs Mt. Taranaki. The distinction places the Albay landmark in the international spotlight.
Standing 2,463 meters tall, Mayon is known for its near flawless symmetry that attracts travelers and artists worldwide. Despite its elegance, it remains the Philippinesโ most active volcano, with more than 50 recorded eruptions in the past 400 years.
