Continuous Journey
The story of Van and Car Rentals in Bicol began during the summer of 2016, when I saw the tremendous potential of the transportation and tourism industry through some of my relatives who had already been in the business for many years. Their success inspired me and gave me the confidence to build something of my own.
Another major influence was my father, who worked as a tourist driver. Watching his dedication and passion for serving travelers helped me realize that transportation is more than just moving people from one place to anotherβit is about creating memorable experiences and helping visitors discover the beauty of Bicol.
With faith, determination, and limited resources, I started my journey with my very first vehicleβa Red Toyota Vios M/T. It was more than just a car; it represented a dream, a vision, and the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey. The business started well, and I was excited about the future. However, one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life came when my first vehicle was carnapped. Losing the very first car that started my dream was painful, but I knew I could not allow that loss to define my future.
Despite the setback, I chose to move forward.
Soon after, I acquired my second vehicle, an old-model Hyundai Starex SVX. Though not brand new, it remained dependable and reliable, helping me continue serving clients and rebuilding momentum. Through perseverance and hard work, the business slowly grew once again.
As opportunities came, I expanded the fleet one vehicle at a time:
- 2nd Unit: Hyundai Starex SVX
- 3rd Unit: Mitsubishi Mirage G4
- 4th Unit: Foton Traveller Van
- 5th Unit: Mitsubishi Montero Sport GLS A/T, a premium mid-size SUV
The business continued to flourish. More clients trusted our services, more bookings came in, and the future looked promising. However, as many entrepreneurs know, success is rarely a straight path.
At one point, another business venture I was involved in experienced major difficulties and eventually collapsed. Unfortunately, the challenges spilled over into my car rental operations. The financial pressures became overwhelming, and despite my efforts, the car rental business also suffered a major setback and eventually collapsed.
For many people, that would have been the end of the story.
But in 2022, I made a decision that would change everything. I chose to rise again.
This time, however, I was not alone. One of the greatest blessings in my life was the unwavering trust and support of my family. My father, mother, and siblings believed in me even during the most difficult times. Their confidence gave me the courage to rebuild what had been lost. They became part of the foundation that helped bring the business back to life.
My father continued to inspire me with his experience and wisdom, while my mother and siblings stood beside me through every challenge and uncertainty. Their encouragement reminded me that setbacks are temporary and that every failure carries a lesson for future success.
My wife also played a vital role in rebuilding the business. While I focused on operations, customer relations, and strategic growth, she diligently helped monitor the day-to-day activities of the company. Her dedication, attention to detail, and commitment ensured that our operations remained organized and efficient. Her support became one of the key reasons we were able to move forward with confidence and stability.
Armed with valuable lessons from past failures, I rebuilt Van and Car Rentals in Bicol with a more careful and strategic approach. Vehicle by vehicle, booking by booking, and client by client, the business gradually regained its footing and continued to grow.
Today, while we are grateful for the growth of our fleet, our greatest achievement is not measured by the number of vehicles we own. Instead, it is measured by the relationships we have built and maintained throughout the years.
Many of our clients from as far back as 2016 continue to trust our services today. Some have become more than loyal customersβthey have become friends and part of our extended family. Their continued support is a reflection of our commitment to provide honest, reliable, safe, and high-quality service.
The success of Van and Car Rentals in Bicol is not solely my achievement. It is a testimony of God's grace, the support of my family, the loyalty of our clients, and the determination to never give up despite life's challenges.
As we continue moving forward, our mission remains the same: to provide safe, comfortable, reliable, and memorable travel experiences for every client we serve. We remain committed to treating every customer with professionalism, integrity, and genuine care.
From a single Toyota Vios, through losses, setbacks, rebuilding, and new beginnings, the story of Van and Car Rentals in Bicol is a story of faith, resilience, perseverance, family support, and unwavering dedication to service.
And this is only the beginning.
