Last March 26, 2026, the Municipal Tourism Development Plan (MTDP) Briefing and Orientation Activity was successfully held at the GAD Building, Dauis Town Hall.

The activity gathered the appointed data gatherers from the different barangays of Dauis, alongside key tourism stakeholders: Dr. Rosalinda Paredes (MTDP Consultant), Mr. Christopher B. Nistal (Tourism Operations Assistant), Ma. Mercedes Salinas (Private Secretary II of the Mayorโ€™s Office), and Kag. Rhea Marie Pon (SB Member and Committee on Tourism Chairman).

With the support of the MTDP Technical Working Group (TWG) and the Municipality of Dauis - Mayorโ€™s Office, the Tourism Office is eager to move forward with the formulation of the Municipal Tourism Development Plan, a vital step in shaping sustainable tourism initiatives for the beloved town of Dauis. โœจ

In celebration of Womenโ€™s Month, the Bohol Purple Women (BPW) spearheaded a meaningful Breastfeeding Awareness Session at the Tourist Rest Area (TRA) of the Municipality of Dauis. The initiative was made possible with the generous support of TRA product providers led by Sir Van Mario Morala, Lindsay Abueva, and Lily Lapura.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Lindsay Abueva, Executive Director of BPW, with the presence and encouragement of Ms. Rolaine Bautista (BPW President), Ms. Carol Daquio (BPW Consultant), and Mr. Christopher B. Nistal (Tourism Operations Assistant).

We thank the Municipality of Dauis - Mayorโ€™s Office for supporting this effort which highlights the vital role of local entrepreneurs and women in fostering community wellness and empowerment. Together, we celebrate women, motherhood, and the nurturing spirit that strengthens our community.

CANCELLATION of Face-to-Face Classes TOMORROW, September 26, 2025 for ALL Levels at ALL SCHOOLS IN DAUIS

To ensure the safety of all learners, face-to-face classes will be cancelled tomorrow, September 26, 2025. The rainy weather may persist throughout the day, making school conditions difficult and disrupting classroom learning.

In line with this, we encourage modular learning to be implemented tomorrow so that students can continue to learn despite the unfavorable weather.

Though the Tourist Rest Area is not yet in the most strategic location, it continues to support our tourism activities especially through its high-end toilet facilities, clean, comfortable and accessible restrooms are essential for a positive visitor experience and this amenity reflects our commitment to quality tourism service, it remains a valuable asset as we work to make the rest area more functional and integrated into our tourism plans.
