Casa Max update 🏠

The fence is now complete, and we’ve installed solar lights today—making the evenings feel extra cozy.

Grabe, Casa Max has been busy since day one after we bought the property.
I purchased it in March 2025, and by September the house was turned over. I flew to the Philippines alone for just two weeks to personally handle the renovation and furnishing-styled it in a Nordic-inspired design. It was intense, but absolutely worth it.

Just 2 days after posting the villa on social media—a serious tenant reached out wanting to rent Casa Max for 3 years (or more). We agreed on a contract that renews yearly.

Now, a lovely couple lives in Casa Max and truly treats it as their home. They’re very happy with how everything turned out, especially the new fence. Imagine—they stayed in the villa during construction and didn’t make a single complaint. That says a lot.🫶🏻

They really deserve the added privacy the fence brings. Grateful for how everything has come together 🙏

From planning, designing and budgeting to choosing the right materials for our small bathroom and toilet—nothing about this journey was easy. I didn’t hire a contractor, so I managed everything myself, guiding the workers through daily video calls. Between the 6-hour time difference and my full-time job, it was honestly exhausting.

But in the end, everything was worth it.

Salamat kaayu to my hardworking panday from Estaca City (Renante, Botyok and Ondoy) —this wouldn’t have been possible without you. To Mayang, who went back and forth to different stores to get all the materials I picked online, thank you so much. And to my caretaker Joy for handling the final cleaning—daghang salamat!

Our tiny house finally feels more like home. No more complaints about the toilet size, no more leaks.

And now… I’m done. No more projects this year. 😂

Casa Max’s fence project was completed last weekend, and we’re thrilled with how it turned out. It provides much-needed privacy for our guests—can’t wait to see it in person!
