LOOK | A Japanese senior citizens team composed of 13 trekkers successfully scaled Mt. Apo via Sta. Cruz Trail on January 21-23, 2023. Two members of the expedition are 79-year old women Chishiho Okada (born February 2, 1943) and Hiromi Matsumuto (born March 17, 1943). Okada is the oldest foreigner climber who scaled the summit of Mt. Apo.

The climb was spearheaded by mtapoadventures.com in collaboration with Dreamworld Travel and Tours.

NOTICE FOR DAVAO-BOUND PASSENGERS EFFECTIVE MARCH 23, 2021:
As per City Ordinance No. 0477-21, Series of 2021, inbound passengers to Davao must present a valid negative RT-PCR test result, taken within 24-72 hours from arrival to Davao.
Furthermore, passengers must acquire Davao Safe QR upon entry to Davao.

URGENT PUBLIC ADVISORY

The City Government of Davao is continually improving the RT-PCR testing procedures for people arriving in Davao City through the Davao International Airport.

Among the main issues addressed are the convenience of passengers, the wellness and safety of the frontliners, and the speed with which confirmed Covid-19 positive airplane passengers and those seated close to them on board are identified and located.

The City Government IT department has developed an online passenger data recording that needs to be completely filled out and submitted after the issuance of a boarding pass at the airport of origin.

The data captured is based on the same information that is required by the Department of Health during testing. This move is envisioned to issue a unique QR code and create a no-contact, paperless recording of each arriving passenger and his test result

Beginning October 7 to October 11, 2020, the City Government of Davao will conduct a test run of the online platform and will request all passengers arriving at the Davao International Airport to use this online form to fast track testing and assignment of a holding facility.

This process will require passengers to use a smartphone, internet connection, and to prepare a valid ID, boarding pass, and their 24 hours to 72 hours negative RT-PCR test result, IF they already have one.

Beginning October 12, 2020, the submission of the online form and the QR code requirement shall be mandatory for all passengers bound for the Davao International Airport.

We have attached below a sample form of all the questions that will be answered by the passenger. We are publishing this sample form so that passengers set to arrive on October 7 and onwards can familiarize themselves with the data they need to prepare.
