CEB Refund Update
As of Sept 17, 2020

As many know, the tourism and aviation industries have been among the worst hit by COVID-19 and currently, Cebu Pacific is only able to operate 10% of its pre-COVID network.

Since the start of this pandemic, we have received an unprecedented number of refund requests due to the flight cancellations brought about by the lockdown. Our refund process then was originally not designed to handle this volume of requests, and this resulted in a backlog. We have since then revamped our procedures in order to address this.

To date, we have refunded over PHP 2.4 billion booking cancellations related to COVID-19, equivalent to 50% of refund requests received. We remain committed to our customers to complete pending refunds, and will update them once these have been processed. We are currently halfway through refund requests filed last April.

We understand how challenging this whole situation is, and we sincerely apologize for the delay. We thank our guests for their patience and understanding as we continue to enhance our processes for this to be resolved soonest.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

There are currently very limited routes from Davao City to other Mindanao provinces and regions. Inter-regional buses are severely affected by the quarantine and other regulations imposed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

For non-Davao City air passengers, we strongly SUGGEST for them NOT TO CHOOSE/SELECT the Davao International Airport (DIA) as their entry to their home regions if they have not made prior communication with their respective LGUs for pick up at the DIA or other transportation arrangements.

The Local Government of Davao cares about your convenience and welfare.

We want to avoid non-Davao air passengers stranded in the city.

Thank you for your understanding.

We care about you and your family. Testing will protect you, your family, and everyone. Let's fight Covid-19 together.

ARE YOU AN AIR PASSENGER BOUND FOR DAVAO CITY?

Here are 12 important things to remember:

1. If you want to expedite your exit out of the Davao International Airport (DIA) or entry to Davao City, take an RT-PCR test 24 hours to 72 hours before your departure date at the airport or place of origin. You need to present the negative test result at the arrival inspection area of the DIA.

2. If you fail to secure an RT-PCR negative test result before your scheduled departure, be prepared to take the free Covid-19 RT-PCR test at the DIA.

3. Be prepared to wait for your test results inside a government holding facility. The waiting time is between 24 hours and 48 hours, depending on the volume of passengers.

4. Arriving passengers who were tested 24 hours to 72 hours before departure at the airport or place of origin, but have not received their results, shall be made to wait in the holding facility until a negative result is received and duly inspected.

5. Meals (no pork) will be served. Special meal requests will not be accommodated. You may download available food delivery service apps for special food preferences and requirements at your own cost. Bring extra food, snacks, water, and preferred beverages.

6. Bring fully-charged powerbanks for your gadgets.

7. Bring your own ballpen, small alcohol bottle, soap, towel, blanket, small pillow, spoon and fork, and extra face masks.

8. Children 12 years old and below will not be tested unless the accompanying adult/s are confirmed Covid-19 positive. Please ensure that all the needs of your children (milk, medicine, etc) are ready.

9. If you are an arriving international passenger, the RT-PCR result taken from a laboratory overseas will only be accepted provided it was taken 24 hours to 72 hours before the domestic departure date.

10. Passengers with positive RT-PCR results will automatically be brought to Covid-19 facilities and referred to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC, a public hospital) for a complete medical check-up. Patients who opt to pay for their own medical bills have the option to coordinate with the Dumoy satellite facility of the Davao Doctor's Hospital (DDH, a private hospital).

11. Passengers with negative test results shall be duly informed of the result, which they will be be able to access online. They will be immediately released from the holding facility. They must arrange and shoulder the cost of their own transportation in Davao City or to their LGU of destination.

12. Plan your trip properly. Book your flight 1 day to 2 days ahead of your business meeting or other important schedules.

We welcome everyone to Davao City! New normal life is here!

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

The City Government of Davao is the LGU where the Davao International Airport (DIA) is located. It shall be the policy of the City Government of Davao to require from all air passengers (including private jets and civilians taking military flights) the presentation of a negative RT-PCR result, taken within 24 hours to 72 hours prior to the departure date, before exiting the DIA or before entry to Davao City.

1. The following are the testing options for a passenger:

a. Take the RT-PCR test at the airport or place of origin at their own cost.

b. Take a free RT-PCR test at the Davao International Airport and prepare to wait β€” inside a holding facility β€” for the results for 24 hours up to 48 hours, depending on the number of passengers being tested.

2. The following are the other guidelines of this requirement:

a. To ensure a safe and orderly exit out of the airport, airlines are requested to first deplane passengers WITH negative RT-PCR test results, followed by all those WITHOUT RT-PCR test result;

b. All arriving passengers tested at the airport or place of origin within 24 hours to 72 hours prior to departure, but have not received their results, shall not be allowed to exit or leave DIA until the test result is available;

c. A negative RT-PCR result taken within 24 to 72 hours from the domestic departure date conducted by a laboratory overseas for an international flight passenger shall be accepted. All data therein must have an English translation whenever written in a foreign language;

d. Children 12 years old and below are exempted from the RT-PCR requirement, provided that the accompanying adult/s passengers are tested negative. Children will only be tested if any of the accompanying adult/s test positive.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
