Just this morning, we received a call from an anonymous person who wanted to confirm a booking with us. He mentioned the name under the reservation, and I immediately informed him that we already had guests scheduled for today and tomorrow, and that the person he mentioned was not among our guests for tomorrow.
It turned into quite an intense conversation because he insisted that he had received a booking confirmation. However, I did not receive any bookings for his dates through Agoda, Booking.com, or Airbnb since those dates had already been reserved through direct bookings on our page.
I asked him to send me the booking confirmation, and upon checking, I saw that the reservation was still pending and not yet confirmed. I also noticed that the photos shown in the listing were different and were not ours. Even the property name on Agoda was not ours, although the location pinned on the map was near our property.
He then mentioned that the guest who made the reservation had been scammed. With this, I would like to remind everyone to always double-check and verify their bookings, and make sure that the listing, address, and property details are legitimate to avoid any misunderstandings or conflicts. Situations like this can also affect honest hosts like us who are only trying to provide genuine accommodation and service to our guests.
If you're booking at BLJ Homes, the host is ALWAYS responsive. Please also be mindful not to direct your frustration toward the wrong person.
Have a great day! π₯°
